Continuing the progression of last year, PWT will have an extraordinary mix of LIVE in-person and digital events.
WINTER PARK, Fla. (March 15, 2021)—The Pro Wake Tour Powered by Supra Boats, the longest-running professional wakeboard competition circuit in the country, is bringing a blend of digital and onsite events in 2021. With a digital qualifier offering every wakeboarder and wakesurfer in the world, women, men, groms, a chance to qualify for the Tour while riding at their home lake behind their own boat. The top 16 professional wakeboarders in the world will once again compete for the coveted championship.
The PWT will be adding the Junior Pro Wakeboard back to the Tour this year. This division will be able to showcase their talents alongside the Pros during this upcoming season.
In addition to high-flying wakeboard action, the Pro Wakesurf Tour brings one of the hottest up-and-coming sports in North America to each city.
Dates and locations for the 2021 Pro Wake Tour are:
- May 17: Digital Qualifier
- June 12: Katy, TX – August Lakes, a beautiful 100-plus-acre, residential watersports community in Katy, Texas, providing an attractive setting for wakeboarding, surfing, paddle boarding, fishing and tubing. Many spectators will have the chance to watch the PWT from the comfort of their own backyard.
- July 10: Birmingham, AL – Oak Mountain State Park, – Alabama\’s largest state park features a picturesque setting, many outdoor activities and a beautiful sand beach.
- August 2: Digital Event
- August 21: Gainesville, GA – Olympic Rowing Park – Created in 1996 for the Atlanta Olympic Games, the Olympic Tower and plaza have hosted numerous sporting and entertainment events.

The eight highest-ranked competitors from 2020 pre-qualify for the 2021 tour, leaving eight spots reserved for the best runs submitted to the digital qualifier. Pre-qualified riders include Nic Rapa (2020 overall winner) and Cory Teunissen and Tyler Higham.
The Supra Boats SA550 is the official tow boat for the tour again in 2021. Purpose-built to create clean, consistent and controlled wakes, it is designed to push athletes to new levels while preserving strict handling and a balanced ride for those onboard.
